Pooja Varghese is working as Quality and regulatory Affairs Manager at RCSI Sponsorship office.
Pooja embarked on her professional journey by earning a BSc (Hons) Nursing from Maharashtra Medical University of Health Sciences in 2014. Upon graduation Pooja gained experience working in the cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai. In 2017, Pooja took a significant step by relocating to Ireland. Here, she joined Cardiothoracic High Dependency Unit (HDU) at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and pursued further specialization by completing a Heart and Lung transplant course. This experience ignited her interest in research and in 2019, Pooja made a career transition into the role of a Research Nurse at UCD CRC. Pooja gained experience in a diverse array of academic and industry-backed clinical trials spanning various medical disciplines and also pursued and successfully completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Translational Research from UCD.
Pooja joined at the RCSI Sponsorship Office in 2023 as a GCP (Good Clinical Practice) Monitor and has since advanced to the role of Quality and Regulatory Affairs Manager. With an unwavering passion for healthcare and research, Pooja is wholeheartedly dedicated to preserving the highest standards of excellence and integrity as she progresses in her professional endeavours.
