SUMMARY:Irish Health Research Forum 16th May 2019
DESCRIPTION:In November 2018\, the Irish Health Research Forum held an event on the theme of ‘GDPR and Health Research: Stakeholder Voices’. This over-subscribed meeting facilitated vigorous and useful discussion on a challenging topic. The outcomes were captured in this widely used meeting report (see link for report)  which includes ten recommendations relating to data protection and health research in Ireland. \nPlease note in your diary that on May 16th we will once again address this pressing topic. The event will aim to capture the perspectives of those most affected by the recent changes to legislation and to assess progress since the last event. Join us to contribute to discussions and to ensure your voice is heard by decision-makers. \nOfficial invitations to follow. \nThe IHRF is managed and funded by the Medical Research Charities Group (MRCG). It is a partnership of organization’s and stakeholders\, guided by a high-level Steering Group\, that aims to positively influence health research in Ireland. The Forum considers key health research issues\, seeks consensus and identifies constructive solutions at two events every year.
