Shaunagh Browne

Research Interests

Shaunagh started working with the INFANT Research Centre in 2017 working on various paediatric allergy clinical trials and took up the post of Clinical Nurse Manager 2 in Paediatric Allergy in CUH. She joined the Clinical Research Facility-Cork in May 2018 and has gained valuable experience co-ordinating various HPRA regulated complex clinical trials in many disease areas including multiple sclerosis and cystic fibrosis. She has a passion for teaching and education and she is currently completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education in UCC.


Shaunagh completed her BSc Children’s and General Nursing in University College Cork. After graduating, she travelled to London and worked in Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital where she gained extensive paediatric experience in complex surgical care and cardiac intensive care.
She returned to Cork and worked as a Paediatric Nurse, caring for acutely ill and high dependency patients in the Cork University Hospital and the neonatal intensive care unit in Cork University Maternity Hospital.
