Maeve Kernan


Graduated as a General Nurse from St Angela’s College Sligo in 2012 before travelling to work at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading England gaining invaluable experience in the fundamentals of nursing with a special interest in Tissue Viability and Sepsis Management. I then returned home to focus on a passion for Intensive Care Nursing where I worked in ICU at both the Galway Clinic and University Hospital Galway going on to complete a postgraduate degree in Intensive Care Nursing, NUIG, followed by a Masters in Specialist Nursing (Intensive Care) at St Angela’s College Sligo. In 2017, I joined the HRB Clinical Research Facility Galway as a clinical research nurse and since joining have worked on a variety of research projects including Diabetes, Renal Disease and Dermatology.
